Thank you Sammyb for raising such an intellectual question. I have been pondering this question for some time now, and have come to the conclusion that they probably prefer sherry, but never got a look in!
I believe that this was a war time stunt by the Ministry of Agriculture. They emplyed "bomber harris" to say that the reindeer that guided our bombers to the Ruhr ate carrots, as they were good for the eyesight. This was apparantly a complete scam, as reindeers have fantastic night sight. I believe that the myth started because we had a glut of carrots produced by all those homefront gardeners
I felt that I must take exception with Becky regarding Reindeers' alleged interest in Sherry. It is a well known fact that Reindeers are tea totallers ! I do understand however that they like the odd cup of coffee....
Seeing as i haven't got much work on around these times i thought i'd have a trot around the interweb and came across this. My personal tipple of choice is a nice bottle of rum, can't beat it on the cold chilly nights flying across rooftops. i really don't know where the sherry malarkey started up. On another note, the carrots are average. us Reindeer won't let them go to waste but a nice curry would go down well every now and again. hint hint nudge nudge etc. anyhoo thats about all i have to say on the subject so i'll catch yall around december time. ps Santa is indeed very fat and jolly, basically because hes permenantly battered from all the sherry that people leave out. He recently had to have a liver transplant but hes right as rain now so don't fret.

PS You know I've always got your back fella; that reminds me its starting to get not cool, in terms of you still being at the front.
